We do not collect your card number. Payment details go directly to our payment provider. We receive only a reference and the result.

We do not knowingly collect data from children. The website is intended for adults buying furniture.

Who we share it with

  • Our payment provider, to take payment and process refunds.
  • Delivery and installation crews, who receive your name, address, phone and access notes — nothing else.
  • Our hosting and IT providers, who store the site and its database.
  • Our financial consultant and accountants, for invoicing, VAT and the Egyptian Tax Authority e-receipt process.
  • A government body or court, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Where your data goes

Our website hosting and some service providers are outside Egypt. Where your data is transferred abroad, we do so only where the transfer is permitted under the PDPL and with contractual protections in place with the provider.

How long we keep it

  • Order, invoice and tax records: at least five years from the end of the relevant financial year, because tax law requires it.
  • Commission requests that do not become orders: two years, then deleted.
  • Correspondence: three years from the last message.
  • Account data: until you ask us to close the account, then deleted apart from records we must keep for tax.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you may ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you and why;
  • correct anything wrong;
  • delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose;
  • withdraw consent where we relied on consent; and
  • provide a copy in a usable format.

Email privacy@omega-db.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.

Some data we cannot delete on request — an invoice for an order you placed has to be kept for tax. We will tell you when that is the case and why.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first. You may also complain to the Data Protection Centre established under the PDPL, and for consumer matters to the Consumer Protection Agency (hotline 19588).

Security

Access to customer data is limited to people who need it for their role. The website runs over HTTPS. Payment card data never reaches our servers.

We are honest about the limit of this: no system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that puts you at risk, we will notify you and the authority as the PDPL requires.

Changes

We will publish any change here with a new date. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you directly.
